A system for working with ATMs, terminals, and self‑service devices

A tool for flexible and centralized management of the bank’s infrastructure

A comprehensive solution for managing a bank’s acquiring infrastructure. The processing node ensures the functionality of terminal devices and ATMs that process cards from international payment systems (VISA, MasterCard, UnionPay), national payment systems (MIR, Coti Milli, Elkart), as well as the bank’s local cards (for legal entities, gift cards, loyalty cards, etc.), and transport cards.

The application performs the following tasks:
  • Supporting the bank’s launch of new products for servicing cards of various payment systems
  • Ensuring payment for services via self‑service devices through various providers and billing systems
  • Enabling interaction with processing centers
Main functions:
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing connections:
  • Support for terminal‑host connections and inter‑host connections
  • Receiving alarm messages from ATMs and information kiosks (regarding the status of the cassettes, sensor activation, software and hardware failures)
  • Receiving, identifying authorization requests and passing them to the authorization module
  • Passing operational terminal keys to the device
  • Receiving requests with payment transactions and passing them to the information processing module
  • Receiving notifications regarding authorized transactions (notifications) and passing them to the outgoing connection module for sending to the relevant Authorization Center (AC)
  • Delivery of notifications received from terminals to the AC:
  • Polling the queue for notification delivery at a specified frequency
  • Passing the notification to the outgoing connection module for sending to the AC
  • Delivery of notifications
  • Processing of authorization requests and notifications:
  • Transmission of the authorization request to the database of the Processing Node
  • Routing of authorization requests for card transactions
  • Checking routing rules based on the card mask and transaction type
  • Ensuring cryptographic data protection during the processing of authorization requests:
  • Providing an outgoing connection to obtain working keys from third‑party CAs
  • Receiving requests for working keys transmitted by the terminal device
  • Transmitting working security keys to terminals registered in the Processing Node
  • Determining, based on the request parameters, the CA that should issue a working key to the terminal
  • Routing the request to the appropriate host via the inter‑host connection module
  • Processing information about payment transactions generated in the terminals:
  • Configuring the period for launching the payment document generation procedure
  • Receiving information from terminals about all completed operations.
  • Recording the received transactions in the Processing Node database
  • Monitoring the current installation location (CIL) of the terminal:
  • Sending the terminal information about the CIL, which is contained in the Processing Node database.
  • Sending the terminal information about the service point, which was received from the terminal itself (if the device manages the current installation location)
  • Terminal registration and maintenance:
  • Registration of terminals of various types (payment, ATM (cash), currency, top‑up, ATM, utility, gasoline, payment, and others) required by the bank
  • Registration and editing of terminal groups within the infrastructure of acquirers registered with the Processing Center.
Additional functions:
  • Requesting an external service (for example, a billing system, the issuer’s information banking system, a travel card top‑up point, etc.)
  • Sending an authorization request for operations using a card with a magnetic stripe to the security key management module for checks, including checking whether the PIN block needs to be re‑encrypted
  • Forming requests to the security server to perform operational functions: re‑encrypting the PIN block, generating operational and transport keys
  • Generating transaction registers and payment documents to be submitted to banks
  • Generating a request to the Processing Center to add a terminal
  • Fraud monitoring to manage the risks of the acquiring bank and monitoring objects, as well as to monitor events around the clock according to configured parameters
  • Processing cash periods, reconciling the device cash register with the bank’s ABS statement
  • A platform for working with self‑service devices as an effective channel for interacting with customers
